A very pleasant place to visit. I well remember working there during the 1950s when it was a private residence

Awful!!! look up trip advisor for December birthday party... Pity I have to give it a star at all

Arrived at 6.10 for a 6.30 booking, agreed to have food served at 7 as police were trying to resolve a dispute between restaurant and other large party, food finally arrived around 7.40... this was a pre-ordered meal, two people ordered pork but only one got it as they had run out! Sea bass was underwhelming on a bed of what looked like left overs from the carvery definitely not worth 18; the steak pretty lonely on the plate, there were no sauces available even though we requested peppercorn more than a week beforehand and yep that frazzled thing on top was an onion ring! Peas had been nuked a little too long and one bowl appeared to have cabbage or something mixed in, fish was over fried and greasy, although in fairness I ate it... mainly because I was hungry. The two waitresses tried desperately to do a good job but lacked experience, no condiments on table or table checks, the management of this place was lacking to non-existent, we were a table of around 16 celebrating a birthday and most were of the same opinion... Well done waitress for trying but Carlton Manor that was a shockingly poor service hence you're getting a negative review on fb and trip advisor. Maybe on another day they may do ok but my experience unfortunately not a pleasant one!

Great couple of nights here. Lady on reception was excellent, so helpful and friendly. She is a real credit to the hotel.

Fantastic stay! Spent two nights over a weekend for a family wedding that was being held at the hotel from the moment we arrived to the moment we left the staff could not have been more friendly and helpful. Food, rooms and drinks were all spot on! Well stocked bar and very good prices we will definitely be visiting again soon. Thanks again to Kerry, Sarah and Curtis and the other guys!
